Buckwheat pillows were one of the subjects being promoted on the Dr. Oz Show recently. You may have seen him extolling the virtues of buckwheat pillows on it (I missed it). As I understand it (I Googled it), it had something to do with people from other countries presenting something much loved in their country that was of value, but which they didn’t find to be widely used here.
The lady from Egypt, chose buckwheat pillows as the item she found most woefully underutilized here in the US. Apparently they have become the standard there, and she was surprised to find the US lagging so far behind Egypt in their discovery of the advantages of buckwheat pillows over the inferior outdated foam and feather pillows.
While that may be true as of the present time, I believe it is changing. I have been selling quite a few buckwheat pillows in the Keller, Texas area. I have found there is a good reason for that. I understand there are facilities in that area where our great patriotic heroes who have been wounded in war are being treated and rehabilitated. The medical professionals treating these men and women recognize the benefits that buckwheat pillows provide to the care and comfort of their patients, and are responsible for introducing buckwheat pillows to them to accelerate their rehabilitation.
I hope you don’t get the idea that these pillows benefit only patients undergoing rehabilitation from injuries. They are simply the most comfortable sleeping pillows yet devised by man. In my mind, the biggest, but perhaps the most underutilized, advantage of buckwheat bed pillows over conventional foam or feather pillows, is that of adjust-ability. Quality buckwheat pillows (the only kind I sell) have a concealed nylon zipper in one end of the pillow, which allows you to remove, or add, buckwheat hulls to the pillow, thus adjusting the comfort level to your own particular requirements. What a wonderful companion to the adjustable mattresses that have become so popular.
If you know anyone who suffers from the inability to either fall asleep, or stay asleep, (perhaps it is yourself) you could do them a great service by relaying this information to them. Better yet, get them one for Christmas. That would certainly show that you have put some thought into their Christmas gift. I mean it’s not like getting them a tie, or socks, or a gift card. Mine do come with a 1 year satisfaction money back guarantee, no questions asked. They also come with a free lavender aromatherapy sachet.
There are many more advantages to buckwheat pillows. I suggest you go to the FAQ (frequently asked questions) page of www.buckwheatglory.com. Or surf through the many other posts on this blog. They say ignorance is bliss, but it can’t compare to the blissful sleep provided by a buckwheat pillow.
