BUCKWHEAT PANCAKES, PILLOWS, HONEY, AND, GUINEA FOWL

BUCKWHEAT BLOOM
BUCKWHEAT BLOOM

You know, buckwheat is a really under-appreciated plant. Besides all it’s uses and derivatives, it is a plant that grows on poor soil with neither cultivation or fertilizers, and needs no pesticides, thus being naturally organic.

Buckwheat hulls make the best ever filling for pillows, the very nutritious flour makes the best pancakes as well as other breads and noodles, the seeds (technically berries) are used as groats and kashi and who knows what all else as breakfast cereals. I understand the honey from the blossoms is an acquired taste, but loved by those who acquire it, and guinea fowl call out it’s praises with their constant “Buckwheat, buckwheat”.
The stalks are used as feed for livestock, and plowed under as green manure (cover crop) and a field of buckwheat in bloom is a beautiful site to behold.
I just read an article on the web, regarding a promising role of using buckwheat in the diet to treat diabetes. The University of Manitoba in Canada has found that buckwheat contains an unusually high level of chero-inositol, a compound that is very effective in lowering blood glucose in diabetic rats. They are proceeding with studies on humans, and believe it will show similar results.
I think there should be a club or society formed to extol the virtues and benefits of the here-to-for lowly buckwheat plant, and all it produces. Maybe there is one already. Anyone know of one? Hail to the buckwheat! The guinea fowl could be the emblem and mascot.

WHAT IS A BUCKWHEAT PILLOW’S BEST FEATURE?

BUCKWHEAT PILLOW COMFORT

BUCKWHEAT PILLOW COMFORT

I’m pretty sure most buckwheat pillows are bought, used, and loved, simply because of their comfort. However, I’m not really positive of that. I know that is why I originally had mine made, used it, and still love it.

I actually didn’t know about all the other benefits of buckwheat pillows until I got to really investigating all the characteristics of them when I was considering promoting buckwheat pillows on a web site.

I now consider myself pretty knowledgeable on the subject of buckwheat pillows, but I was really already sold on buckwheat pillows before that, just based on how utterly comfortable I found them to be.

But just to satisfy my curiosity as to why other people find them to be so desirable, I thought I’d pose this question about what a buckwheat pillow’s best features are. I keep wondering if I am actually influencing anyone as to the desirability of sleeping on a buckwheat pillow by expounding on all their many benefits besides sheer sleeping comfort. Maybe no one cares about all these benefits, just so long as they are utterly comfortable. Please enlighten me by letting me know your thoughts.

                                                                                                                           Thanks

BUCKWHEAT PILLOWS VS TURNIPS AND PEANUT BUTTER

BUCKWHEAT NECK PILLOW

“What in the world,” you ask, “do buckwheat pillows have to do with turnips and peanut butter?” Well, nothing, really. Except that I have a cousin, Rochelle, who asked me, out of the blue, if I liked turnips with peanut butter on them. I looked at her like she was crazy and she said “You ought to try it. It’s really good, even though it doesn’t sound very good.”

I said, “Well, I’ll take your word on that one.” That meant I wasn’t about to try it. However, curiosity got the best of me. Just today my wife, Doris, bought some fresh turnips, because she knows I love cooked turnips. I sliced off a slice of turnip, and got out the jar of peanut butter.

Guess what! It’s delicious. My cousin, Rochelle, was at a party where they served these turnip and peanut butter things as hours devours. Now I’m a believer.

Okay, back to the question “What do buckwheat pillows have to do with turnips and peanut butter?”

Are you starting to get the picture, yet? The turnips and peanut butter didn’t sound like such a good idea, but once I tried it, I found out it really is delicious.

Maybe you think buckwheat pillows don’t sound like such a good idea, but you really should try them. You might be surprised, like I was when I tried the turnips and peanut butter. I would still think that was a crazy idea if I hadn’t tried it, but I did, and I’m the better off for it.

Try them, you’ll like them - buckwheat pillows, that is. Maybe turnips and peanut butter, too. But get the buckwheat pillows first.

HAVE YOU SEEN THE BUGS IN YOUR PILLOW?

BUCKWHEAT PILLOWS - dustmite infestation free

BUCKWHEAT PILLOWS - dustmite infestation free

You really don’t want to. They are absolutely disgusting. Take my word for it, dust mites live in the bedding of virtually every household worldwide, with the possible exception of some caves, tee pees, and igloos.

No, I’m not telling you to abandon sleeping pillows, but I am suggesting that you really need to familiarize yourself with buckwheat pillows.

While you may never have heard of buckwheat pillows, they have existed for about 3,000 years, but mostly in Japan and the Orient. Buckwheat pillows are dust mite infestation free. There will be a few dust mites migrate through them, but they won’t take up residence.  The buckwheat hulls provide no sustenance or shelter to dust mites, so they tend to avoid buckwheat pillows, and certainly do not infest them as they do foam and feather pillows.

When you consider that buckwheat pillows are also the most comfortable, sleep inducing pillows ever devised, you really need to click on www.buckwheatglory.com as fast as your fingers can accomplish it and get your buckwheat pillows on their way to you. Actually, probably 95% of buckwheat pillows are bought because of their comfort and sleep inducing qualities, but it’s also nice to know your head is not resting on millions of dust mites living off your dead skin cells. That’s enough to sour your sweet dreams.

BUCKWHEAT PILLOWS - The Big Mystery

Where have the buckwheat pillows been?

Where have the buckwheat pillows been?

I’m pondering a big puzzlement. At least to me it is. Ancient civilizations from the Orient have invented many useful things. The first one that comes to my mind is gunpowder. This was mostly used for fireworks in the Orient, but now, and for many centuries past, it has been used as an explosive and as an ammunition propellant all over the world.

What puzzles me is why it has taken the world nearly 3,000 years for another oriental discovery that would be of use to far more individual people, to even be recognized, let alone take advantage of it’s many benefits. I’m talking about buckwheat hull pillows.

I realize that gunpowder, once it’s potential for warfare use was realized, was lionized and quickly developed by nationalistic interests to be used in warfare, but it still puzzles me why buckwheat pillows, given the dedication people develop toward them once they’ve somehow become aware of them and slept on them, didn’t capture the fancy of people everywhere almost immediately. I realize communications between cultures back then was really slow, but 3,000 years?

Do you suppose it’s possible that when people discover the advantages inherent in sleeping on buckwheat pillows, they simply don’t want to share those advantages with others, and thereby try to keep their benefits a secret? I think I may be onto something here. If you share your advantage with someone, then you have just leveled the playing field, and you no longer have the advantage. Hmmm. Well, being the selfless person that I am, I hereby declare that I am going to share my advantage with you all, and I implore you to join me in divulging the little known advantages of sleeping on a buckwheat pillow to all the world.

To get started you just need to invest in a buckwheat pillow so that you, too, can realize the advantages of sleeping on a buckwheat pillow, and you will want to shout it from the roof tops, so to speak, or should that be “so to shout”? I’m sorry, I just got carried away.. You have sweet dreams on your buckwheat pillow.

BEST SLEEP EVER - Weak Link In Your Chain?

BUCKWHEAT PILLOWS - a strong link to your sleep

BUCKWHEAT PILLOWS - a strong link to your sleep

Are you familiar with the old adage, “A chain is only as strong as it’s weakest link”?

When it comes to “the best  sleep ever”, very often the weakest link in your chain is your pillow. You may have the darkened room, the perfect cool temperature, a comfortable bed, be in a relaxed, drowsy mood with a clear conscience and the soft patter of rain on the window, but you have an outdated conventional foam or feather pillow, and that is the broken link in your acquisition of the “best sleep ever”.

Fortunately, this is an easy chain to repair. A click of a mouse on www.buckwheatglory.com  provides the fix for this broken chain. Simply invest in an organic, handmade in USA, buckwheat pillow.

BEST SLEEP EVER - WITH BUCKWHEAT PILLOWS

Best Sleep Ever

Best Sleep Ever

Best sleep ever is what you get with buckwheat pillows. There are many things that can contribute to, or detract from, your sleeping experience, and my remarks here do not particularly apply to someone who is suffering from an earache, toothache, or any such malady which would seriously detract from your efforts to fall asleep, although a buckwheat pillow would still provide more possibility, however faint, of falling asleep soundly for a short while under these conditions.

But for regular sleeping under normal circumstances, the best sleep ever, is what you get from sleeping on a buckwheat bed pillow. Now, don’t expect a soft, downy pillow like a feather or foam pillow, which feels just great for a short while. But then the insulating features they possess soon cause your head to overheat and start perspiring. Next, the lack of support on all areas of your head cause that familiar pressure spot at the lowest point of your pillow, and the race is on as to whether you just have to change the position of your head, or you manage to fall asleep first.

If you do manage to fall asleep first, there will at some point come a time when the compression will bother you to the point where you will be compelled to change the position of your head. You may not actually wake up, or you may, but it will detract from the quality of your sleep. You may not be aware of this during the balance of the night, but in the morning you will not awaken rejuvenated and refreshed as you would have had you been sleeping on a buckwheat pillow.

So when morning comes, you will hate to crawl out of bed, and you will feel tired and listless all day.

Since you’ve always slept on a conventional foam or feather type bed pillow, you won’t recognize this as being abnormal. But once you sleep on a buckwheat pillow, you will realize just how great it feels to wake up rejuvenated and refreshed.

You won’t ever want to go back to sleeping on a conventional pillow again. That’s why people who have experienced sleeping on buckwheat pillows take their buckwheat pillows with them when they travel away over night. You’ll realize how much difference it makes if you go away and find yourself trying to sleep overnight on one of those hotel pillows. You likely won’t forget your buckwheat pillow the next time.

Start enjoying your life and invest in a buckwheat bed pillow.

BUCKWHEAT PILLOWS ARE THE BEST BED PILLOWS MADE

BUCKWHEAT PILLOWS - THE BEST BED PILLOWS

BUCKWHEAT PILLOWS - THE BEST BED PILLOWS

I’ll say it again. buckwheat pillows are the best bed pillows made. That seems pretty plain and simple to me. You can take any category such as comfort, economy, freedom from dust mites, hypoallergenic, organic, head and neck cervical support, cervical alignment, head cooling ventilation, individual comfort level adjustment by use of a smooth, concealed, nylon zipper.

You can read  the details about all these various attributes in previous posts throughout this blog and also in my web site, Buckwheat Glory.com.

Although these pillows have been in use in the Orient for between 2 and 3 thousand years, they are largely unknown here in the US. Once you’ve slept using one of these buckwheat pillows, it’s unlikely you’ll ever be satisfied with a conventional pillow again.

Do not short change yourself any longer. Invest in a buckwheat bed pillow and find out what is missing from your life. You owe it to yourself.
