- Ingredients for a pet bed?
Buckwheat pillows are on my mind a lot. In that twilight zone where I’m not quite still asleep, but not quite fully awake, I often have rather interesting ideas. While in that stage this morning, I thought “What about buckwheat pillows for pets?”.
Now, I like pets, but I’m not into pets on a grand scale, so this whole idea is a bit out of the box (er – I mean pillow) for me, so I’m just throwing it out there for your consideration.
So I’m asking for help from those of you who are really into knowing what pets like and what’s good for them. Maybe the buckwheat pillow would be ideal for some pets, and for others, not so much.
Initially, my thoughts turned to cats and dogs. I can see an English Bulldog reposing on a king size buckwheat bed pillow, or a Pekingese snuggled into the curve of a buckwheat neck pillow on top of a malleable buckwheat travel pillow. Maybe a few of those glue on Velcro swatches would be helpful to keep them in their relative positions.
I think maybe, for one of those little green geckos, like on those TV insurance commercials, I’d have to come up with a miniature version. I could really get attached to one of those geckos, but it would definitely have to have the Australian accent. I’d want a green one, too (do they come in different colors?).
Just out of curiosity, I’m going to go google “buckwheat pillows for pets”. Hold on a minute.
Wow! Am I glad I did that before I continued with this post. I’m way behind the curve. Buckwheat pet pillows are all over the web, although they all seem to be for dogs or cats. What about my favorite gecko, or hedge hogs, or pythons? Unfortunately, I really believe the goldfish and a few other pets are out of luck on this one.
One interesting thing I noticed is that the pet
buckwheat pillows are priced about 2 to 3 times higher than an equivalent people buckwheat pillow. That is interesting.
I’d still like to hear from you pet owners on this subject.
