BUCKWHEAT PILLOWS-AN ECONOMICAL EVALUATION

THE BEST BARGAIN
THE BEST BARGAIN

Buckwheat pillows have many economic advantages over conventional pillows. Your initial investment in a quality buckwheat pillow is comparable to that of a quality conventional foam or feather pillow. I am only considering quality pillows of both buckwheat and conventional, because you are really throwing your money away on anything else.

The material in the cover of both should be basically equal. However, the cover of a quality buckwheat pillow will have a discreetly concealed nylon zipper in one end. This is very important. Do not consider buying one without it. This is where you remove or add buckwheat hulls to adjust your pillow to your own particular comfort level. No conventional pillows have this capability. It also allows you to add additional hulls as the hulls polish and individually lose some slight volume over time.
The buckwheat hulls actually improve with use. They have slight ridges on them, which are responsible for the action I call malleability. This is what gives the pillow the capability of conforming  to the exact shape of your head and neck, following the cervical curve of your neck area, supporting it in a manner no conventional pillow can approximate. As the ridges on the hulls wear, the malleability actually improves.
I’ve saved the most important economic advantage until last. Perhaps you’re not familiar with dust mites. They are a nearly microscopic member of the arachnid (spider) family. They inhabit virtually every home in the world. They live by the millions in your bedding, carpets, upholstered furniture, etc. They do not bite living people or animals, but they live on your dead skin cells and dander.
You should see one of them under a microscope. They are genuinely hideous. They infest conventional feather and foam pillows to the extent that their dead bodies and feces add considerable weight to a conventional pillow which has been in use for some time. These give off some toxins which can affect people who are susceptible to allergies and asthma. If you ever get up in the morning with your nose feeling stuffy, chances are it’s those disgusting dust mites. Many health practitioners recommend replacing conventional pillows periodically. Some as often as every six months.
So, economically, you can easily see that you will come out far ahead by investing in buckwheat pillows, because buckwheat pillows do not support dust mite infestations, as do foam and feather pillows. The buckwheat hulls do not provide the dense habitat which dust mites need for their habitation. You can, of course, pour out the buckwheat hulls periodically through the zipper, and wash the pillow cover, another advantage over the conventional pillow.
Bottom line is that your buckwheat pillows will last you many, many years, giving them an insurmountable economic advantage over the conventional foam and feather pillows, not to mention their possibly more important health and comfort advantages. Invest in buckwheat pillows now to save your money and your health.
