Buckwheat Pillows

Is your sweetheart someone who appreciates practical gifts? I realize that candy and red roses are the traditional Valentines Day gifts, but some people actually prefer to be practical – especially in these economic times when it’s wise to make dollars count in really practical ways.

You could kill two birds with one stone by putting a red rose on the white pillow – seems romantic to me. She would be able to enjoy her buckwheat pillow for years to come, considering their durability. The candy and roses will be gone and forgotten in days – well, hopefully not forgotten.

Of course you may be obligated to buy two, so that there are matching pillows on the bed,

This may not work for everyone, but you know your sweetheart better than I do. If you really have to, buy her the candy and roses for Valentines Day, and then really score points by giving her the buckwheat pillows a few days later.
